Maserati Levante Hybrid Lands In South Africa |
Maserati South Africa has welcomed its first Levante Hybrid models in South Africa, bringing its powerful dual-power technology to the popular Levante range.
Finished with subtle detail that hints at its petrol and electric drivetrain, The Maserati Levante Hybrid sports unique blue details that hint at its hybrid heart. This includes a blue tint on the iconic side air ducts, the brake callipers, and the C-pillar logo. The same blue shade reappears inside the car, specifically on the embroidered seams of the seats and the embossed Trident logo on the headrests.
For connoisseurs, the Levante Hybrid is available in a unique tri-metallic colour called Azzuro Astro. This multi-layered light blue coating is part of Maserati’s Fuoriserie customisation programme.
Unmistakably Maserati
The Maserati Hybrid powertrain in the Levante combines a high-power petrol engine with a 48 Volt Battery Starter Generator and electric eBooster to deliver an impressive 243 kW. This makes the Levante Hybrid faster than a diesel, more sustainable than both a pure petrol or diesel engine, and unique in its power delivery characteristics.
The new powertrain is designed to improve overall performance, while staying true to the Trident’s values of speed and agility and its dedication to driving pleasure and luxury.
The Levante Hybrid remains the “Maserati of SUVs” through and through, including its sound, which retains the usual characteristics of any other Trident-brand car, despite being a hybrid. The sound is achieved without the use of amplifiers, solely by acting on the fluid dynamics of the exhausts and using resonators, tuned to produce that characteristic sound. From the moment you get into the Levante Hybrid, you will hear the distinctive roar of a Maserati engine.
Standard GT Trim
The Levante Hybrid arrives in South Africa with Maserati’s new GT trim level as standard.
The GT embodies the brand’s most urban, minimal and contemporary spirit. It is well suited to dynamic and curious global citizens who pay attention to fashion, yet have a refined style of their own.
Externally, this trim level embellishes the models in the range with chrome-plated accents, plus 18” alloy wheels. Completing the look of the interior are leather comfort seats and Piano Black Trim.
This model is also equipped with Maserati’s new high-resolution infotainment system that offers near instantaneous reactions to touch inputs, and seamlessly integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
