Audi’s Concept C, unveiled in Milan and showcased at the IAA in Munich in September 2025, is a bold vision of the brand’s electrified future, blending exhilarating performance with a fresh design philosophy. This street-legal, all-electric roadster previews a production sports car that promises to redefine open-top driving with a seamless fusion of elegance, innovation, and emotion.

The Concept C embodies Audi’s new design principles – clarity, emotional appeal, technical excellence, and intelligent design. Its striking proportions, sleek surfaces, and meticulous details create a distinctive identity that will shape future Audi models. The roadster’s aesthetic balances the dynamic allure of a convertible with the sophistication of a hardtop, offering a glimpse of a production model that prioritises speed, style, and emotional engagement. With exceptional driving dynamics, the Concept C delivers the visceral thrill Audi is known for, rooted in the legacy of iconic models like the TT, R8, and Auto Union Type C.

Inside, the Concept C highlights luxury with a meticulously crafted interior that harmonises technology and emotion. Haptic controls on the steering wheel and centre console deliver precision with the signature “Audi click,” blending mechanical refinement with digital innovation. A foldable 10.4″ display remains discreet until activated, maintaining a serene, uncluttered cabin. This intelligent design ensures information is presented on demand, enhancing the driver’s connection to the vehicle without overwhelming the senses.

As Audi charts a new era of clarity and performance, the Concept C is a tantalising preview of a future where electric performance meets timeless elegance, promising an exhilarating addition to Audi’s storied lineup.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new all-electric GLC, a groundbreaking addition to its best-selling mid-size SUV lineup, and a compelling alternative to its combustion-engine sibling.

The electric GLC 400 4MATIC achieves an impressive electric range of up to 715 km, with best-in-class efficiency at 14.9 kWh/100 km. Its 800-volt technology enables a recharge of 303 km in just ten minutes, ensuring minimal downtime on long journeys.
Boasting 360 kW of power and 800 Nm torque, this luxurious SUV accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h.

The vehicle’s design is both striking and familiar, thus maintaining the GLC’s signature “Welcome Home” comfort. Its spacious interior now offers 13 mm more front legroom, 47 mm more rear legroom, and a generous 570-litre boot expandable to 1,740 litres, as well as a 128-litre frunk.

Inside, the GLC introduces the 99.3 cm MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest in a Mercedes-Benz, creating an immersive digital experience powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System.

Performance is matched by agility, thanks to Airmatic suspension and 4.5-degree rear-axle steering, while safety is ensured with up to ten cameras, five radar sensors, and Distance Assist Distronic.

For those seeking sportier aesthetics, the AMG Line and AMG Line Plus packages add dynamic styling, including 21” alloy wheels and a high-gloss black rear spoiler.

Combining legendary Mercedes-Benz elegance and typical German innovation, the electric GLC promises to deliver the same prestige and versatility that have made the GLC a global segment leader.

Volvo’s all-electric EX60, set to debut globally in January 2026, promises to enhance the spectrum of premium mid-size SUVs with its blend of cutting-edge technology, extended range, and Scandinavian elegance.

Positioned between the XC40 Recharge and the flagship EX90, the EX60 marks Volvo’s first electric mid-size SUV on its latest technology platform, with South African deliveries expected in mid-to-late Q3 2026, signalling Volvo’s bold step toward making electric luxury accessible in South Africa’s growing EV market.

Built at Volvo’s Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, the EX60 will offer unmatched range for a Volvo EV, paired with a groundbreaking user experience. Its design embodies the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility, delivering performance and practicality without compromise. As Grant Locke, Managing Director of Volvo Car South Africa, notes, the EX60 arrives at a pivotal moment as the country’s EV infrastructure expands and demand for premium electrification grows. It’s tailored to meet local drivers’ needs for range, confidence, and everyday usability.

The EX60 strengthens Volvo’s electric SUV portfolio, following the success of the EX90 and EX30 Cross Country, and complements updated plug-in hybrid XC60 and XC90 models. It’s a cornerstone of Volvo’s electrification strategy, aiming for 90-100% of global sales to be fully electric or plug-in hybrids by 2030.
